Description

yarplogger-console is the command line version of yarplogger gui. See also Logging with YARP

Parameters

The module does not accept input parameters.

Accessed ports

The module opens a port /logger which is used as an input port to receive logs from other processes, each of them opening a /log/xxx port. All these connections are performed automatically when the user performs the discovery and connect operations.

The module opens the port /logger/rpc which accepts the following text commands:

start              Starts logging
stop               Stops logging
quit               Terminates the execution of the process
load  <filaname>   Loads previously saved logs
save  <filaname>   Save currently received logs to a file
 
ask_by_proc <process_name> print all the logs received from the selected process
ask_all            print all the received logs
discover           ask the nameserver for a list of all processes which are ready to send logs
connect            connects the input port /logger to all /log ports opened by other processes
get_info           gets infos about the currently received logs (process names, timestamps, number or errors received etc)
